Ski Patrol Training Movies

OK, I’ve thought of a bunch of crazy stuff in my days, but I didn’t even think about kite skiing…. I am sooooo going to get myself a kite and try this. WooHoooo!

Patroler: “Central, I need a backboard, O2 and a couple of strong backs on the lower side of Big Air. Start ALS on their way.”

Central: “Roger. ALS, backboard and O2. Be there in 5, anything else?”

Patroler: “Yea. Throw in the traction splint, it looks like his Femur didn’t like the landing all that much either….”

See, this is why I’m a ski patroler. I get to see stuff like this first hand…. OK, maybe not all of it, but I want to.

I broke my neck doing a single back flip when I was 17. I used to do arials, but I did them wearing 195’s. The time I broke my neck, I was wearing my 170 rock skis because I was just messing around in the woods. What happened was that when I went off the jump, I flipped too fast because of the shorter skis, and hit the back of my head on the top of the jump. (They found me wandering around in the woods 4 hours later and I didn’t know my name….. kind explains quite a lot if you know me now.)

Man I want to do this so bad I can taste it, and it tastes like “POWDER”! I’m pretty sure one of you guys who is rich enough to do this needs to take along your own National Ski Patroler… Right? Gotta Stay Safe…
